150 Years of Wedding Dresses

This wonderful exhibition will chart the evolution of bridal fashion from 1870 to the present day.  It will take place at St Andrew's Church, Cotterstock on Saturday, 30 June and Sunday, 1 July from 11.00 am until 5.00 pm.

Wedding dresses, shoes, veils and photographs will show how styles have changed over the decades and give a lovely flavour of times gone by.  There will be a display of precious antique wedding jewellery, engagement rings, earrings and necklaces.  Royal wedding memorabilia will be exhibited too including a mug commemorating Queen Victoria's wedding.  There will be a wedding cake and the church will be decorated with flower arrangements as though a wedding is to take place.

Admission is £5 which includes a complimentary soft drink.  There will also be homemade cakes and refreshments served in the village hall.  All proceeds will go to the conservation of the church and village hall.
