Every Man Remembered - Heritage Open Day Event

Saturday, 15 September 2018 - Church of St Mary the Blessed Virgin, Warmington - 10.00 am to 4.00 pm

The lives of the 135 men named on the Roll of Honour have been researched and military records printed where possible.  (About 60% of WW1 records were destroyed in 1940 during the Blitz which is why they are not all available)  This is your opportunity to view the information and order a copy for yourself, if you wish.  You may also wish to consult the old parish baptism register relating to some of these men.  And perhaps light a candle in remembrance.  There will be displays on aspects of the men from Warmington who served and a variety of second-hand books on WW1 on sale.

If you are related to any of these men, this is a unique opportunity to remember them.  For any visitor, this is a chance to reflect on life in a village during WW1, through the families who lived here.

Refreshments will be available in church.
