Moving On - Revd Dr Donald McFadyen

Announcement made by Revd Dr Donald McFadyen at the 4pm Benefice Service on Sunday 29th October 2023 at St Andrew’s Church, Cotterstock

Dear Friends,

I’m writing to let you know that I have been appointed Chaplain to the English-speaking Church of Fontainebleau, near Paris, where I will also continue my teaching role with the Eastern Region Ministry Course.

I will be therefore be leaving the Warmington Benefice.

I share this news with mixed feelings. Whilst I’m very excited about this new ministry opportunity,  and have a strong sense of God calling me to it, at the same time I am sad to be saying goodbye to such a lovely bunch of people in this benefice.

My last day of services in the benefice will be Christmas Day.

I will be meeting with the Churchwardens and Rural Dean, Revd Eddie Smith, in a couple of weeks’ time to make plans for the parishes in the vacancy.

I have felt privileged to serve as your vicar, and will continue to pray for you. In turn, I ask that you pray for me and Netta.

With best wishes,

Donald
